Marketing and financial accounting were at the heart of Rainer Friess' degree course. After graduating he accumulated 5 years of experience as a training manager and management trainer in a renowned German automotive firm. At the same time he lectured at the University of Stuttgart. He was subsequently able to broaden his practical professional experience with a further 5 years as training manager, head of project management and member of the senior management of a leading retail group. Since 1989 Rainer Friess has been a self-employed trainer and consultant in the field of organisational and personnel development.
